Council Tax - Pensioner Grant Scheme 2010

The pensioner grant scheme is a Welsh Assembly Government initiative that provides some help with Council Tax for the over 60’s

Are you…

• liable to pay Council Tax on your main residence in Flintshire
• aged 60 or over on 30 September 2010
• receiving State Retirement Pension
• not receiving any Council Tax Benefit at 30 September 2010.

If you answered Yes to all of the above, then you could be entitled to a one off reduction on your Council Tax account.

The value of the grant you receive is dependant on the number of applications received. It will be calculated and credited to your Council tax account after the 30 September 2010.

You will receive a new Council Tax bill showing the value of the grant that has been applied to your account together with a schedule of your revised payments.

Please note that only one grant will be awarded to each household that meets the qualifying criteria.
