Green Dog Walkers

Published: 23/06/2023

Shelby.jpgFlintshire County Council is pleased to announce the launch of a campaign called ‘Green Dog Walkers’.

Green Dog Walkers (GDW) is a non-confrontational, friendly way to help change attitudes about dog fouling across Flintshire.  Dog owners and dog walkers support the scheme by signing a pledge to clean up after their pets.  They support other owners to do the same and will make themselves visible by having their dog wear a Green Dog Walkers Bandana.

All Green Dog Walkers will take a pledge to always:

  • Clean up after their dog
  • Carry extra dog waste bags
  • Be happy to be approached to lend a dog waste bag to those without
  • Be a friendly reminder to other dog walkers to clean up after their dogs

Sign the pledge for you and your dog!

Once we've received your form, we will send you a GDW bandana for your dog. If your dog is not keen to wear it, there are several ways in which owners can wear it to make themselves visible.

The secret to a successful GDW campaign is the volunteer groups and dog owners running the pledge stalls and gathering pledgers.  Therefore, we would like to invite individuals, schools, community groups, scouts, vets, and businesses to promote the GDW campaign.
