White Ribbon Campaign

Members of Flintshire’s Community Safety Partnership came together on 25 November to show support for international White Ribbon day, recognising a commitment to ending violence against women. Flintshire County Council was the first local authority in Wales to receive the White Ribbon Town Award for Councils, and as part of its commitment towards Domestic Abuse have introduced a workplace policy sending out the message that Domestic Abuse is unacceptable. Councillor Kevin Jones, Cabinet Member for Waste Management, Strategy, Public Protection and Leisure said: Flintshire County Council is fully supportive of the White Ribbon Campaign, through promoting events such as this the Council reinforces its year round stance that violence and domestic violence, against either men or women, is wrong and must be tackled.
