Find your flair at Apprentice Fair

Published: 08/03/2016

Flintshire County Council is holding its first Apprentice Fair on 16 March as part of National Apprenticeship week. Lots of businesses from Flintshire and beyond have already signed up to take part at this inaugural event, but there are still stands available if other businesses are interested in attending. The event will take place at Clwyd Theatr Cymru in Mold and will be run as two sessions, one in the morning 10:30 to 12 noon and 13:00 to 14:30. All 12 high schools in Flintshire have agreed to bring pupils to both sessions, so there will be lots of eager young people keen to see what local employers have on offer. Cllr Derek Butler, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said, “This Apprentice Fair, the first of its kind for Flintshire, is a real opportunity for future apprentices to meet and discuss options with a potential employer. As well as employer stands, there will be live demonstrations and interactive sessions covering a wide variety of professions including the fire service, beauty therapy and the construction industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to “Try a Trade” and get advice on CV writing.” For further information and to book a stand, please contact Kate Catherall on 01352 703221 or kate.catherall@flintshire.gov.uk.
