Summer Wellbeing

Summer Wellbeing is a series of workshops and courses designed to promote relaxation for Flintshire residents during June. Enjoy a free ten pin bowling session, learn to dance, unlock your creativity with a painting class or take part in arts and crafts, there is something on offer for everybody this month. Reserve a place on any of the sessions below by calling 01352 704400 or 01352 704406. The activities are organised jointly by Libraries, Arts and Leisure sections of Flintshire County Council. Monday 23 June Get Bowled Over - from 10am – 12pm at the Jade Jones Pavilion in Flint. Ten Pin bowling for free - two games per person - book early as numbers are limited. Tuesday 24 June Read, Listen ‘n’ Relax - from 1pm – 2pm in Buckley Library. Stories told and shared by author Fiona Collins. The Story of Colour - from 1pm – 5pm in Flint Library. Explore the use of colour in painting and unlock creativity with artist Jan Gardner. The Tonic of Dance - from 10.30am – 12.30pm at Deeside Leisure Centre. A session to put a spring in your step - in association with NEW Dance. Wednesday 25 June Tai chi Therapy from 1pm – 1.45pm at Holywell Library. Movement for wellbeing for all ages and abilities with SIFU Peter Newton Thursday 26 June Sing, Swing ‘n’ Scone 1pm – 4pm at Holywell Leisure Centre. Entertainment provided by Gordon Hopwood. Refreshments included. Friday 27 June Have a Go Day from 10.30am – 1pm and 2pm - 4pm at Holywell Library. Have a go at a variety of things from block printing to lace making. Monday 30 June Stitch in Time from 1pm – 6pm in Mold Library. Textiles and techniques with artist Cefyn Burgess. Relax and Unwind - *Special Offer from Afonspa at Deeside Leisure Centre. Pamper yourself with a spa session for only £5 per person per session. Summer Stroll or Walk and Talk… Free 30 minute health walks from all Leisure Centres throughout June.
