Flintshire Business Week 7-10 October 2014 - Introducing the sponsors

Headline sponsors have been announced for Flintshire’s flagship 2014 business event, Flintshire Business Week. Westbridge Furniture Designs has signed up to sponsor the Business Exhibition for the second year running. Held on 8 October at Coleg Cambria, Deeside, the exhibition showcases over 70 stands to around 2,000 delegates creating a platform for local business. Managing Director of Westbridge Furniture Designs, Paul Islip said: Westbridge Furniture is once again delighted to be part of Flintshire Business Week and proud to be the sponsor of the Business Exhibition. The one-day exhibition is a unique opportunity for a wide variety of local businesses to promote their companies and I would strongly encourage as many as possible to participate. This is the fourth year as headline sponsor for AGS Security Systems, who are backing the Flintshire Business Awards. A glittering ceremony in Soughton Hall takes place on 17 October where there are 10 award categories for local businesses. The company themselves won in the Small Business Award category in 2009. The Business Exhibition attracts people from across the region and the Business Awards are a chance for people and companies to be recognised for their contribution to the local economy and business community. “These are two fantastic elements to the week and we’d like to thank AGS Security Systems and Westbridge Furniture Designs for their support.” Editor’s note AGS Security Systems Founded in 1987 the company is a leading accredited installer of intruder and fire alarms, CCTV, automated gates and barriers, access control and emergency lighting and now provides a key holder service and static guards as well as world class monitoring and system maintenance. Their main office is in Flintshire but they have expanded to set up an office in the Midlands and clients include Moneysupermarket, Stoke City Council and Kelloggs. The company has received business support from the Council’s business development team in the past. Westbridge Furniture Designs With three factories in Greenfield, Deeside and on the Deeside Industrial Park the company manufactures furniture for Ikea, Next, John Lewis and M&S and specialises in sofas and upholstery. A 850 strong workforce and 30 strong design team have helped the business go from a start-up to a turnover of £52m in ten years. Westbridge Furniture received business support from Flintshire Council’s business team when they secured Welsh Government funding for expansion to premises on Deeside Industrial Park.
