Big Draw Workshops

Local people in Flintshire can take part in the world’s biggest drawing
festival through art workshops hosted in venues across the County.
Artist Ben Davis will be helping to create card sculptures and drawings to
celebrate the Big Draw on the theme ‘It’s Our World’. The family workshops are
suitable for all ages and abilities and will be using a variety of card
sculpture, drawing and painting techniques.
Saturday 18 October at Flint Library - 9.30am – 11.30am
Saturday 18 October at Mold Library - Daniel Owen Festival - 1pm – 3pm
Saturday 25 October at Wepre Park, Connah’s Quay - 10.00am – 12 noon and 1pm –
3pm
The Big Draw 2014 runs from 1 October to 2 November across the UK and in 20
other countries with 280,000 people expected to join in over 1000 plus events.
It offers thousands of enjoyable, and mainly free, drawing activities which
connect people of all ages with museums, outdoor spaces, artists, designers,
illustrators - and each other.
Flintshire County Council’s Arts Culture and Events section is working in
partnership with the Countryside Service and Public Libraries as well as the
Family Arts Campaign for a second year to create the UKs largest Family Arts
Festival spanning autumn half term from 17 October - 2 November.
All workshops are £2 per child with accompanying adults free - booking is
essential as spaces are limited. To book a place on any of the workshops or for
