Behind the scenes at Flintshire Record Office, The Old Rectory, Hawarden

On Saturday 21 September - 10am to 1pm, Flintshire Record Office, based at the Old Rectory, Hawarden, is taking part in ‘Open Doors’, a Wales-wide event organised by Cadw.

Open Doors offers both local people and visitors alike the chance to explore the hidden treasures of Wales’s culture and history.

The Old Rectory is an 18th century building set within its own grounds, which was home to the Rectors of Hawarden for over 200 years. For the past 60 years it has housed Flintshire Record Office, which preserves the county's unique archival heritage and makes it available to the public.

Have a tour 'behind the scenes’ where the County's historic records are kept (booking essential) and view our exhibition about the history of the building. This is a FREE event. Refreshments available.

Record Office Tours at 10.00am and 11.45am - BOOKING ESSENTIAL
