Notice of Variation – All Council Tenants
This notice applies to all Council Tenants (also known as Occupation Contract Holders).
Please look out for written notification through your letterbox from Housing with regards to your Secure Occupation Contract (formerly called your Tenancy Agreement).
We are issuing a Notice of Variation of Contract out to all Tenants due to new legislation under the Renters Reform Act (2025) as of 1st May 2026.
You do not need to do anything but be aware and keep your paperwork safe alongside your existing Contract. Attached below are copies of the documents you will receive in the mail.
If you have any questions at all about this change or need help with understanding the Notice of Variation please contact your Housing Officer.
